The Transguard Welfare Committee is made up of people from across the business and is a forum for employee feedback on all welfare issues and a resource for providing leisure, sporting, educational and other initiatives.
Recent initiatives include:
Literacy Programme: Every employee has access to the Transguard library which currently has over 2,000 books and can attend free English classes with accredited literacy qualifications.
Sporting Activities: Transguard has fully-funded football, cricket, basketball and volleyball teams who compete in regular tournaments and matches.
The Transguard Warriors excelled at last year’s Dubai Rugby 7’s and our cricket team has fared well in two recent tournaments.
Transguard Carnival: Last year’s carnival attracted an audience of over 4,000 staff members and was a lively mix of professional performers and in-house talent.
Employee Reward Schemes: Monthly Employee and Star of the Month awards.
Sir Bob Geldof Staff Reward Day: Last year more than 50 “Transguard Stars” received their awards from Sir Bob Geldof.
The legendary Irish rock star and the driving force behind his campaign to relieve poverty and famine around the world, was in Dubai for a concert organized by Transguard and hosted a special lunch for the Employee and Star of the Month award winners.
At Transguard we are committed to continuously reducing the impact our business has on the environment and we strive to improve our environmental performance through the implementation of sustainable development and environmental policies.
TG GREEN is our company-wide environmental and sustainability initiative which includes an active committee of staff members from across all our business operations and is committed to:
• Reducing carbon dioxide emissions associated with our energy and water consumption by 10% every 12 months.
• Educating every Transguard employee about sustainable initiatives within the workplace and within our community.
• Working with our suppliers, clients and partners to develop sustainable business solutions
• Investing 15% of all savings we achieve back into our CSR initiatives.

Emirates Airline Foundation Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman & Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group, the Emirates Airline Foundation is a non-profit charity organisation formed by the Emirates Group to provide humanitarian and philanthropic aid for children in need. Transguard provides free cash collection services to the Foundation.
Dirham Wa Bas
The Dirham Wa Bas, or ‘One Dirham Only’, campaign raises funds for social care and development projects in the UAE. The campaign, launched by the Social Responsibility Fund, is an initiative of the Ministry of Social Affairs. Transguard supports the initiative by emptying the boxes and processing the cash at its cash management centre free of charge.
Marine Clean-Up
Transguard sponsors the annual Marine Clean-Up Campaign, part of Dubai’s Marasina Campaign to keep Dubai’s beaches and marine habitats clean and healthy.
Fundraising for local charity
Transguard organises regular celebrity dinners and corporate events to raise funds for local and International charities, including our highly successful White Collar Fight Night.
Heroes of the UAE
Transguard is an active member of the Heroes of the UAE.
Heroes of the UAE is a campaign jointly developed by The Emirates Wildlife Society in association with the Worldwide Fund for Nature (EWS-WWF) and The Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi, and is endorsed by the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Environment & Water, MASDAR, and the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority.
The campaign’s mission is to alert everyone in the UAE that drastic action must be taken now to curb our energy consumption, avert dangerous shortages and become a great deal more energy conscious.

Christel House
Transguard is an active sponsor and supporter of Christel House, Bangalore, sponsoring a classroom of 30 children every year and helping students who finish their education to develop fulfilling careers through our apprenticeship scheme that sees up to six graduating students coming to Dubai to join our management training programme.
